The Vernon Tigers were a professional baseball team that played in the Pacific Coast League (PCL) during the early 20th century. Their 1910 season marked a period of success under manager Happy Hogan, who had also managed the team the previous year.
I originally bought this cap to celebrate a special honor in Scouting, with the letter V, if you know, you know.
I found another V cap I prefer.
This cap is the rare pillbox style.
The "pillbox" baseball hat was a popular style in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, known for its flat, cylindrical crown and straight sides. After fading from regular use, it was revived in 1976 for the National League's 100th anniversary, with the Pittsburgh Pirates uniquely wearing them for a full decade, until 1986.
