Sigmar Polke was born in East Germany in 1941 and studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy.
He first gained attention in 1963 for his witty and provocative style, which he called "Capitalist Realism."
He has continued to produce outstanding works to this day, and has held solo exhibitions at some of the world's leading museums.
He has also received awards such as the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale, the Erasmus Prize, and the Carnegie Prize. He currently lives and works in Cologne, Germany.
There are slight scratches on the cover, but the contents are in good condition with no writing or folds.
