This is a very rare and valuable first edition book titled "The Man With the Hoe & Other Poems" by Edwin Markham, published by Doubleday & McClure Company in 1899. The book is a hardcover edition that includes related newspaper ephemera, as well as an image of a painting by Jean François Millet.
The book is in very good vintage condition. Some usual signs of wear (scratches, rubbing) on cover and wear to edges of spine. Pages are in good condition, although the edges are not perfectly straight like modern books (likely due to old printing processes, rather than distortion), and there is some yellowing from age.
