Francis Scott Key's song, "The Star Spangled Banner" is so central to our Independance Day celebrations, & most importantly, our history, that this was a unique find!
It is a studio piece, handmade & signed by Jordan well over 20 years or more.
He took the lyric page, applied it to the wood wall hanging, drew the ship by hand, & created his own historical piece of art.
The page had been glued & then stained along with the wood.
Considering the time that has passed, & the artwork & lyric page are in very good condition, as is the wood it has been applied to.
You can see some wear on the top & bottom of the page itself, but that would be expected after such a long time.
It is truly unique & a wonderful way to remember why we celebrate Independance Day.
The plaque measures 9" X 11" inches & is about 1" inch thick.
